2006 NABBA Jr. Nationals

From the moment I entered the building I was impressed with the show. Ms Thornton has strategically place at the front counter two very helpful ladies to address her patrons, and for a change they behaved as though they actually wanted to be there.

But this is a bodybuilding show and bodybuilding  shows are about the competitors and what they bring to the table.

NABBA Jr. National Men Master Champion

The men’s Open Champion was Saiid Kamora; this man did not have a single stand out body part, he instead opted to train all of his body and create a masterful sculpture of symmetry size and definition.
Standing alone you did not recognize his natural gift of symmetry and balance. However when he stood next to another competitor you knew he had done his work in the gym.
When he was announced the overall winner my training partner looked at me as said “Having no flaws is better than a great body part any day!

NABBA Jr. National Men Grandmaster Lineup

Everyone have their favorite, and from the moment I walked into the auditorium I had already pick my favorite.  Jonathan Delarosa, this kid ( no disrespect intended) was made to be a bodybuilder.
I know everyone says that but I set in the audience and spoke with his uncle and father and just by looking at the two of them you knew this sport was for him.

Delarosa, or "Dominican Dominator" as he calls himself, was not the biggest guy in the show but he was in great condition ripped abs, cross striated chest and a pair of thighs the reminded of a more famous small guy form New York Danny Padilla the Giant Killer. Maybe my career in bodybuilding did not go to far because I didn’t have AKA attached to it.

Well in any event if you live within driving distance to Philadelphia and you didn't make it to this event than you wasted your time. Ms Bernice Thornton and BT Production really put on an excellent show. If this years’ Jr. National is any indication of what they have in store for us next year, then I would suggest you get your tickets now!
